Album Review: Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy

Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy. Released April 16, 2013
This is Fall Out Boy's first album since Folie A Deux was released in 2008. In my opinion, they've come back better than ever. As much as I've always adored Fall Out Boy, there's never been an album of theirs where I really like every single song. Well, this is the exception.

My favorite song on the album is probably "Young Volcanoes" (you can watch the music video here). I love the vibe of the song, as well as how prominently Patrick's vocals are highlighted. I'm glad this song made it on the album, I heard that it almost wasn't included.

I really like the new sound they have on this album. It's a much more pop/dance vibe then they have had in the past, but it works. They also toted out the guest performers on this album, including Courtney Love, Elton John, Foxes, and Big Sean.

It's definitely an album for summer. It's one of those 'roll-down-the-windows-and-crank-it-up' kind of albums. I can't wait until it's warm enough here to do this. :)

Highlights: "Young Volcanoes," "The Phoenix," and "Where Did The Party Go"

Flasback Friday: t.A.T.u.

Through Rhapsody, I've been re-discovering some of my favorite songs from when I was younger. Who else remembers tATu? I had forgotten how much I liked them, especially this song "All About Us".

I just might have to add this one to the rotation ;)
