Weekly Roundup 9/11-9/17

Hey everyone!! I'm back, and I'm going to try my hardest to post more consistently. I'm going to be rearranging things, but I'll hope to have a post up every Sunday (Weekly Roundup), Tuesday (New Music Tuesday), and Friday (Flashback Friday), along with CD and concert reviews.

But, first things first, here's a roundup of music I acquired last week.

"Say That You Made Love To Me" - Ten Year Vamp

Hands All Over - Maroon 5

Save Me, San Francisco (Golden Gate Edition) - Train

Glee the 3D Concert Movie soundtrack

Tangled soundtrack

Eclipse - Journey

Night Ranger - Night Ranger

"The House That Built Me" - Miranda Lambert

Weekly Roundup: 5/25-5/31

Sorry this is late, but better late than never, right?

• "For Good" - Glee Cast

• "Edge of Glory (live)" - Lady Gaga

• "Rise Above (live)" - Reeve Carney, The Edge, Bono

• "If I Die Young" - The Band Perry

• "Barton Hollow" - The Civil Wars

• "Bad Things" - Jace Everett

• Live at Eddie's Attic - The Civil Wars

• "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room" - John Mayer

Pretty random this week. Just filling in some holes in my collection (Glee, John Mayer), and giving in to my obsessions (The Band Perry, The Civil Wars).

Album Review: Glee The Music, Volume 6

This is the 6th Glee soundtrack that has been released. It includes 18 songs from episodes 17-22 of season 2.

How much do I love when Jonathan Groff and Lea Michelle sing together? Hearing them sing together just brings me right back to Spring Awakening. They still have such amazing chemistry every time they sing together.

How is it that "For Good" didn't make the cut for this album? I do think that it should have been included instead of "Bella Notte." I don't hate "Bella Notte," but I do not think that it needed to be included on the soundtrack.

The original songs were pretty decent. I don't love the song that Charice (Vocal Adrenaline) sings, "As Long As Your There," but the New Directions songs were very good. I can't stop hitting the repeat button for the "Pretending" duet

I am missing a few other songs, namely "Back to Black," "All By Myself," and "Jar of Hearts," but I guess they can't include everything.

Highlights: "I Feel Pretty/Unpretty," "Rolling In The Deep," "Pretending," "Pure Imagination"

Weekly Roundup: 5/18-5/24

Sorry for being MIA, but I've been busy. I promise to have reviews and a few other things out soon. But for today, yet another weekly roundup!

• Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More

• The Pretty Reckless - Light Me Up

• Haley Reinhart - "You Oughta Know (live)"

• Haley Reinhart - "Rhiannon (live)"

• Haley Reinhart - "What is and What Should Never Be (live)"

• Lauren Alaina - "If I Die Young (live)"

• Glee Cast - "Happy Days are Here Again/Get Happy"

• Glee Cast - "Friday"

• Glee Cast - "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You"

• Glee: The Music, Volume 6

• Adele - 21

• Lady Gaga - Born This Way (special edition)

And now, I think I need to start working on that little thing called impulse control since, obviously I have none ;)

Like I said, reviews of the albums will be coming soon. I just need to give them another listen, or two before posting.

Til next time!
